8. Cai Cuong Ancient House
Located at 38 Binh Hoa Hamlet, Binh Hoa Phuoc Commune, Long Ho District, Vinh Long Province, Cai Cuong Ancient House is a must-see and photogenic spot for those who appreciate the traditional Southern Vietnamese architectural style. Just like in television dramas, the house exudes the grandeur and solemnity of a powerful figure from a bygone era.
Around 1885, Cai Cuong commissioned the construction of this house, built by the local landowner. Currently, it is owned by the Pham Van Bon family. Despite the passage of many years, the interior is still very well preserved. The intricately carved couplets and horizontal plaques, the altar, the chairs, the beds, and the pillars are all crafted from precious woods.
When visiting the Cuong family's house, you can not only experience sitting on a valuable set of tables and chairs over 100 years old, but also visit the garden, harvest fresh fruits, and enjoy traditional Vietnamese folk music performances.
