1. Da Han Waterfall Ecotourism Area:
With its majestic natural scenery and irresistibly peaceful atmosphere, combined with the harmonious blend of waterfalls and fruit orchards laden with ripe fruit, Thac Da Han eco-tourism area is sure to be an ideal spot for camping, picnicking, and having a BBQ party with your friends on weekends.


The prices are quite reasonable. If you invite friends to explore Da Han Waterfall by motorbike (geared) for a day trip, the total cost will only be around 200k-250k VND per person!
Address: Da Han Waterfall is located in Trang Bom town, Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province, about 70km from Saigon. You can get to the tourist area via National Highway 1A, entering Trang Bom town, then to the Trang Bom District Cultural Center (or Trang Bom District People's Committee), ask locals for directions to Cay Gao Junction, and turn onto a small road. From there, drive about 3km and you will see a sign on your left directing you to Da Han Waterfall.
2. Buu Long Tourist Area:
Located about 30km from Ho Chi Minh City, Buu Long Tourist Area is in Bien Hoa - Dong Nai. Upon arrival, the first impression is that it's not much different from the scenery in Da Lat. A long bridge spanning the lake is decorated with colorful umbrellas and round stone platforms forming a walkway, perfect for admiring the fish and the rose and sunflower gardens blooming in the early morning sun. Furthermore, you can enjoy many other fun activities such as zip-lining, rock climbing, pedal boating, rowing, and feeding the fish.


Entrance fee: Weekdays: 30,000 VND/adult, 20,000 VND/child under 1.3m, free for children under 1m. Holidays/Tet (Lunar New Year): 40,000 VND/adult, 30,000 VND/child under 1.3m. Swimming pool: 20,000 VND/ticket, Bumper cars: 20,000 VND/ticket, Fishing: 10,000 VND/ticket.
3. Suoi Mo Park:
When it comes to breathtaking beauty, Suoi Mo Park is definitely worth mentioning. The spacious area includes gazebos and shelters to provide shade. It's perfect for taking Instagram-worthy photos.


Address: It will take you about 3 hours to travel by motorbike from Saigon. Here's the route: Start on National Highway 1 for about 64 km to Dau Day Junction, then turn left onto National Highway 20 towards Da Lat for another 48 km, past the 48th milestone of Dinh Quan District People's Committee (about 700m), then turn right and drive further inside to reach Suoi Mo.
Entrance fee is 40,000 VND per adult and 30,000 VND per child.
Note: Please be aware that food and drinks are not allowed inside Suoi Mo Park. But don't worry, inside there are many restaurants and eateries serving à la carte dishes, fast food, ice cream, and soft drinks... priced from 15k to 35k, while main meals range from 70k to 300k depending on the dish, including hot pot, fried, stir-fried, and grilled dishes...
4. Cao Minh Eco-tourism Area:
Visiting Cao Minh eco-tourism area, you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday city life; it's extremely peaceful. I've been there before and loved it.


Address: Hamlet 2, Vinh Tan Commune, Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province. Located just over 40km from Ho Chi Minh City, you'll be immersed in fresh air and can enjoy sightseeing, picnics, and delicious food.
Entrance fee for a day trip: 15,000 VND/person.
5. Bo Cap Vang Ecological Tourist Area:
This is also one of the most popular tourist areas, offering many exciting activities to escape the sweltering summer heat.


Address: Located in Hamlet 3, Phuoc Khanh Commune, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province, Bo Cap Vang is only 25km from Ho Chi Minh City, a 1-hour motorbike ride away.
Entrance fee is 40,000 VND for adults, 20,000 VND for children, and 50,000 VND per adult on holidays. This includes free access to available services such as hammocks, seating areas, mats, tables and chairs, water slides, jumping platforms, swimming in the river, and freshwater showers.
6. The Bamboo Eco-Tourism Area:
This is a great place to relax for those who love nature and water activities such as kayaking, coracle boating, bamboo boat tours, swimming, cycling on the river, or obstacle courses. It costs around 120,000 VND for a kayak and 50,000 VND for a bicycle.


Address: Located about 15km from Ho Chi Minh City, heading towards Cat Lai ferry terminal in Dong Nai, at the Phan Van Dang intersection, turn right, and you will arrive at Tre Viet Tourist Village.
7. Mango Garden Ecotourism Area:
Besides sightseeing, here you also have the opportunity to participate in activities such as ostrich riding, rowing in basket boats, kayaking, pedal boating on the lake, paintball, camping,... it's very fun!


Address: Tan Cang Hamlet, Phuoc Tan Commune, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province. You can travel from Saigon Bridge towards Dong Nai and follow National Highway 1A to Vung Tau Junction, then follow National Highway 51, turn left onto Bui Van Hoa Street, go about 1.2 km, turn right onto Street No. 6, go about 1.8 km, at the intersection turn right and go about 2.2 km to reach Mango Garden (114, Tan Cang Hamlet, Phuoc Tan Commune, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province).
Entrance fee: 50,000 VND/adult, 40,000 VND/child.
8. Chua Chan Gia Lao Mountain Tourist Area:
Located only about 110 km from Ho Chi Minh City, you can see the three-trunked banyan tree, drink the crystal-clear Da Lao spring water, and visit the Buddha statue at Buu Quang Pagoda.


Address: You can follow the route by motorbike on National Highway 1A, heading towards Phan Thiet until you reach Long Khanh town, then travel about 30km further to see Chua Chan Mountain. From the highway, turn onto Provincial Road 766 and travel about 15km more to reach the mountain.
9. Giang Dien Waterfall Ecotourism Area:
Giang Dien Waterfall Ecotourism Area is a paradise for fun that captivates young people and is always popular. With a vast space of nearly 67 hectares, it offers a completely relaxing feeling, surrounded by green lawns, flower gardens, etc.

At the tourist area, you have the opportunity to explore the large waterfall, the cool water, go boating on the waterfall, ride a water bike, play Zorb ball, shoot water guns... for prices ranging from 40k - 50k/person.

10. O Island Tourist Area:
You definitely shouldn't miss O Island tourist area. On O Island, the air is fresh and peaceful, and you can enjoy amazing experiences like never before.


Address: If you're backpacking, you can choose this route: Follow the Hanoi Highway to the Tri An intersection, turn left onto DT 767, go about 18km further to the center of Vinh An town, then turn right onto DT 762 to Dong Truong ferry terminal. From there, you just need to rent a canoe or boat to go straight to the island.
Traveling by canoe to the island costs 130k/person round trip, while going by boat is cheaper at around 110k/person. However, it only carries about 5 people and takes 40 minutes.
With about 300k, you can have a trip to the island, including transportation, camping, and affordable meals with rice portions costing 19k - 25k/portion.
11. Bau Sau Area - Cat Tien National Park:
One thing I can guarantee is that if you get lost in the paradise of Bau Sau 1, you'll become addicted to it. This is actually one of the ideal routes for many Saigon teenagers to go on road trips.
In particular, the Bau Sau area - Nam Cat Tien National Park will offer you completely new experiences with trekking through the forest, overnight camping, or trying your hand at a thrilling night hunt.

Your travel options include visiting Bau Sau Lake for around 140,000 VND per person, buying a night wildlife viewing tour for 120,000 VND per person, or renting a bicycle for a trekking trip through the forest at a cost of 30,000 VND per hour or 150,000 VND per day.

Nam Cat Tien National Park is a nature reserve located in five districts: Tan Phu, Vinh Cuu (Dong Nai), Cat Tien, Bao Loc (Lam Dong), and Bu Dang (Binh Phuoc), 150 km north of Ho Chi Minh City.
12. Mai Waterfall Ecotourism Area:
Mai Waterfall will surprise you with its pristine beauty, one of the most unspoiled in Dong Nai province, winding through vast rocky rapids and then flowing through the forest to the large Dong Nai River.
You can enjoy swimming in the waterfall, participate in a trek through the forest to explore the upstream of the waterfall, or walk on the swaying suspension bridge, looking straight down at the rushing water... it's up to you to try it.
But you should also be careful because it's still so unspoiled.


Address: To get to Mai Waterfall, start from Ho Chi Minh City, go to the Vung Tau intersection, then drive to Bien Hoa City, continue to the Dau Giay intersection, then turn left onto National Highway 20 and drive straight to Dinh Quan District - Dong Nai Province. When you reach kilometer 120, after crossing the La Nga River for about 7-9 km, you will see a large sign that says Dinh Quan; turn right there. Drive for about 5 km and you will reach another intersection; turn left onto the paved road and you will reach Mai Waterfall.
